How do I track kilometres when I Get Active?

Any GPS enabled devices like fitness wristbands, watches and smartphones will do the trick. We have linked up with Strava and Fitbit to automatically sync with your fundraising page and add to your kilometres each time you record an activity.

If you’re not already connected with these devices, you can always download Strava or Fitbit on your smartphone to get started.

Once installed and your account has been created with your preferred app, login to your Get Active page and head to the 'My Fitness Activity' tab. Here you can now connect up to your preferred fitness app. Click on the icon of the app you'd like to connect - this will ask you to login and authorise us to access your fitness account. 

You're now connected!

When using your fitness app, remember to create a new activity through your app and stop when you're finished each time - this will ensure your kilometres are recorded onto your Get Active page.

You can also manually add an activity through the 'My Fitness Activity' tab too.

How do I use Fitbit to track my kilometres?

Tracking your kilometers with Fitbit is easy.

Login to your Get Active page and head to the 'My Fitness Activity' tab. Here you can connect up to your preferred fitness app. Click on the Fitbit icon - this will ask you to login and authorise us to access your fitness account. 

Don't forget you must record an “activity" with your Fitbit in order for it to contribute to your kilometers. 

Does my Garmin or Apple device work for tracking when I Get Active?

Yes, you will need to connect your Garmin or Apple device to Fitbit or Strava listed on your dashboard. Each activity you start and stop from your Garmin or Apple device will then automatically sync through the listed apps onto your Get Active page.

I can't get my kilometres to sync from Fitbit. What do I need to do?

You have to start and stop an activity for it to sync automatically to your fundraising page.  

If your challenge is to meet your distance travelled each day, you will need to start an activity when you wake up, and then stop it at the end of the day. 

I still can't get my activity to show on my page. How can I fix this?

If your activity is not appearing on your dashboard, please follow these steps.

  1. Make sure your device is synced with your Get Active dashboard
  2. Start and Stop each activity from your app
  3. Allow 24 hours for your activity to appear on your dashboard

If your activity is not appearing, you can manually add your hours and KMs via the 'My Fitness Activity' tab on your dashboard.
