On New Years Eve, I will run for 20 hours and 23 minutes starting at 3:37am and finishing at midnight to see in 2023.
Whilst I'm out running, the wonderful volunteers at Lifeline will receive thousands of calls from people having a hard time of it. The Christmas and New Year period is one of the busiest for the Lifeline phones and any money that you can donate will go towards ensuring that they are able to answer every call for help, offer support, save lives and provide hope to those in need.
Around 750 Queenslanders are lost each year to suicide and Lifeline are driven by the belief that Australian lives lost to suicide can be prevented.
