My target 60 kms

Finished!!!

Almost a week ago I ran 60km to raise funds for Lifeline Australia. I started at 4am on the 23rd of January and finished with a total moving time of 9h and 27minutes without including some an emergency pitstops, almost giving up, and attending AFL training which led me to have to wait a night to complete the last 20km of my run. Pushing through the pain, exhaustion, and moments of doubt I experienced how firsthand how tough it can be to keep going while your mind is telling you to stop. That is why I am asking for your support.

Unfortunately, I didn't have my best buddy Annabel there to accompany me through the run which certainly made it more mentally challenging. Hopefully, when recovered and at the right time we can both attempt a big challenge together.
The goal of my run was to raise awareness for mental health which is such a prominent issue in our society today. That's why I am asking for your support.
Almost every Australian will encounter the effects that mental health has, whether through friends or personally. Your donation helps Lifeline provide critical mental health services for those Australians who are struggling. Please consider donating - together, we can make sure no one feels alone in their darkest moments.

Hey guys!

We are Estelle and Annabel and we are passionate about raising awareness about mental health and helping Lifeline save lives.

A little bit about us and our challenge is that we are high school students who run a little on the side. On average, 8 Australians die each day from suicide. We have both been affected by the harsh realities of mental health and decided on the 26th of January we will be running 60km across Brisbane.

Running for us has changed our lives and improved our mental health so much. We are hoping this HUGE challenge can inspire others to find their own things that make them happier and raise money for such an important cause.

At the moment, the max we have ran is only 16km... oh no.

But, we are willing to fight through the Brisbane January heat and defy all odds. As Estelle said to her parents the night she told them, "your doubts only fuel my desire."

Considering we just woke up the other morning and texted each other "Fudge this. Lets run 60km" we only have one month to prepare for this. But we will do whatever it takes to cross the 60k mark whether we are carrying each other or commando crawling.

By supporting our challenge today, you will be helping Lifeline to answer the unprecedented number of calls for help from all across Queensland.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will receive a tax receipt via email.

Thank you so much for supporting us and for supporting Lifeline Qld!
