I'm excited to announce that the following weekend I will be embarking on an adventure circumnavigating around beautiful Moreton (Mulgumpin) Island. This adventure is not just a personal goal, its a dream that I have had for as long as I can remember to complete the 90km loop around the island and now that time has come to make this dream a reality. 

This journey means more than just conquering a distance; its about recognising and sharing the significant role that running, walking and simply being outdoors plays for not only myself but for many others who have suffered or have had family members that have struggled with mental health. 

Creating this page and taking on this challenge is my way of giving back. I've chosen to raise funds for Lifeline, an organization that's like a beacon of hope for those in despair. With a 24/7 confidential suicide prevention hotline, Lifeline provides non-judgemental and compassionate support, extending a listening ear to those who need it most. They're there through phone calls, text messages and online chats, tirelessly working to save lives. 

My personal goal is to raise $7500. Why this specific amount? Because that is how much it costs to train a Crisis Support Worker- a dedicated individual who goes through a rigorous one-year process, including six months of theory and six months of practice, to become a certified Crisis Supporter. Lifelines' mission is critical, especially in a nation facing a heart-breaking suicide crisis. Your contribution will enable them to answer more calls, train more volunteers and expand their vital suicide prevention programs and awareness initiatives. By supporting me, you're joining a team of Lifeline Legends, making a tangible difference in our community.  

I understand that these are challenging times for everyone so any amount you can contribute would mean the world to me.
