After the devastating floods hit Ipswich in late February, a call for help echoed across Queensland. And Lifeline was there to listen. Gympie, Redlands, Caboolture, Sunshine Coast, Maryborough and Gold Coast communities were also hit hard. All faced with an ever-increasing number of flood-impacted individuals and families.

Your support of our recent Emergency Flood Appeal has helped Lifeline continue its mission. Our Crisis Support Centres have stayed open 24/7, answering calls from those in need. And our Community Recovery teams continue to be there for those in flood-affected areas across Queensland. All thanks to your generosity. Thank you.

“We’ve sent 173 Lifeline workers into flood affected areas to provide much needed help to those in need. This wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support and generous donations from people like you.” Karen, Operations Manager, Lifeline Community Recovery & Corporate Training.

With the support of this generous community, our teams have already provided Physiological First Aid more than 19,961 times. And referred people on to other professional support services more than 22,472 times.

Because of you, and other thoughtful people like you, floodaffected communities have not been forgotten. You have helped Lifeline to continue lending a hand to those in need - days, weeks and months later. Though the road to recovery can be tough, we will be there. All thanks to the support of donors.

We will endeavour to keep you up to date as best we can, as we continue to support communities recovering from a disaster.
